Blessing of the Animals
June 2024 brought First Presbyterian’s first Blessing of the Animals event. We partnered with the local Little Blessings Farm Petting Zoo and everyone enjoyed all the animals.
Pastor Lynn began with scripture and blessed each animal in attendance. Homemade dog treats were provided and the dogs loved them! Donations were accepted for Action for Animals Humane Society in Latrobe.
It was a great event and we hope to do another.
Women’s Circle
Our Women’s Circle is a faithful vendor at the Saltsburg Farmer’s Market each season. They are well known for their RADA Cutlery, baked goods-especially their homemade pepperoni rolls. All proceeds benefit missions both locally and globally.
National Quilt Day
Our church participated in the Avonmore Historical Society and Museum National Quilt Day on March 15. Two fragile antique quilts that were made by our former members were on display in our fellowship hall. What a treasure they are and it was so wonderful to have their names back in our church.
